3D Models & Digital Collections from CHIs Reach EKT and Europeana via Repox’s OAI-PMH in 2025

In 2025, several Cultural Heritage Institutions (CHIs) successfully delivered their digital collections to the National Documentation Center (EKT) and Europeana through the OAI-PMH protocol, a core interoperability feature of the Repox platform. This accomplishment highlights how Repox enables institutions to seamlessly share, standardize, and expose their metadata to national and European aggregators. Through Repox’s robust OAI-PMH support, the following organizations made their collections available on SearchCulture.gr (EKT’s national aggregator) and Europeana: 📌 American School of Classical Studies at Athens | 56.463 items harvested A major contribution of archaeological and historical collections that enrich global research and public access. 📌 Athens City Museum | 2.405 items harvested (including 14 3D models) Offering unique digital insights into the cultural and architectural history of Athens, enhanced by high-quality 3D representations. 📌 Museum of Modern Greek Art, Rhodes | 1.504 items harvested (including 82 3D models) Bringing modern Greek art to wider audiences, with 3D digital objects that support immersive and interactive exploration. 📌 Olympic Museum Thessaloniki | 100 items harvested (ncluding 50 3D models) An impressive ratio, highlighting the museum’s commitment to preserving sports heritage through innovative 3D digitization. 📌 Faltaits Folklore & Ethnological Museum | 4.153 items harvested Providing unique digital access to the cultural and folkloric heritage of Greece through curated historical content.
